1. Purpose And Scope

This Membership Policy governs the terms and conditions of membership in eCommerce Canada (the "Association"). This policy applies to all membership tiers and defines the rights, benefits, obligations, and procedures related to Association membership.

2. Membership Tiers
2.1 Starter Membership (Free)
Open to any business or professional involved in e-commerce, retail, or related industries in Canada.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Business or professional involvement in e-commerce, retail, or related industries in Canada
  • Commitment to the Association's mission and community guidelines
Benefits Include:

2.2 Pro Membership ($99/Month)

3. Membership Fees And Payment
3.1 Membership Fees

3.3 Fee Changes
  • The Association reserves the right to modify membership fees with 60 days' notice to existing members
  • Fee changes apply to membership renewals following the notice period

4.2 Pro Membership
  • Complete membership application form

  • Agree to Association Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and membership policy
5. Member Obligations And Community Guidelines
5.1 All Members Must:
  • Maintain accurate contact and profile information
  • Conduct themselves professionally in all Association interactions
  • Respect other members and Association staff
  • Comply with Association policies and community guidelines
  • Use Association resources appropriately and ethically
  • Pay membership fees on time (for paid tiers)
5.2 Community Guidelines

Members agree to use the community for:

  • Legitimate business questions and collaboration
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Professional networking and partnerships
  • Constructive feedback and support
5.3 Prohibited Activities
  • Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
  • Unauthorized commercial solicitation outside designated areas
  • Sharing confidential Association or member information inappropriately
  • Spam, promotional content that doesn't add value to the community
  • Misrepresenting Association affiliation or endorsement
  • Any activities that violate applicable laws or regulations

8. Member Support and Satisfaction

  • Pro Members: Priority support within 24-48 hours
8.2 Satisfaction Guarantee
  • Pro Members receive 30-day money-back guarantee
  • If not satisfied within first 30 days, full refund provided
9. Suspension and Termination
9.1 Voluntary Termination
  • Starter members may cancel at any time
  • Pro members may cancel with notice, effective at end of billing period
  • No refund for unused portion of monthly billing period
9.2 Involuntary Termination

The Association may terminate membership for:

  • Violation of community guidelines or Association policies
  • Non-payment of fees after 30 days past due (Pro members)
  • Behavior detrimental to the Association or its members
  • Providing false information in membership application
  • Illegal activities or violations that reflect poorly on the Association
9.3 Termination Process
  • Member receives written notice of potential termination
  • Opportunity to respond within 15 days of notice
  • Final decision made by Association management
  • Appeal process available through Board of Directors
10. Advocacy And Representation
10.1 Industry Advocacy
  • Association actively represents Canadian digital commerce interests
  • Government relations on digital taxation, cross-border shipping, and data privacy
  • Member input welcomed on advocacy priorities
  • Participation in policy discussions voluntary
10.2 Member Voice
  • All members have input opportunities on Association direction
  • Annual member surveys conducted

11. Partnerships and Vendor Relationships
